Presentations by Dan Roberts, VP of Research & Strategy and Pratiksha Bhattarai, Senior Research Manager at Virginia Tourism Corporation.
Dan Roberts is the Vice President of Research & Strategy at the Virginia Tourism Corporation, where he leads data-drive strategy and insights to grow Virginia's visitor economy. Combining his background in economics with more than a decade of experience in tourism analytics and the hospitality industry, Dan focuses on translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive results for the Virginia Tourism Corporation and its partners across the Commonwealth. He holds a degree in Economics from American University and spent a year studying at the London School of Economics. In his spare time, Dan enjoys reading and research history, photography, and playing guitar.
Pratiksha Bhattarai joined the Virginia Tourism Corporation ion 2017. As the Senior Research Manager, she manages, evautes, and executes the core programs of the VTC Research department and provides research support to VTC team members as well as industry partners. Before her tenure at VTC, she worked in a Kentucky-based market research firm analyzing data relating to customer interactions and employee perception. Pratiksha holds a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Louisville and has a background in architecture. She lives in Richmond with her husband, two kids and a cherished labradoodle.
